Joseph Campbell,  renowned expert in mythology and author of many works including, ‘The Power of Myth’ and ‘Hero with a thousand faces’, spoke about “finding your bliss”. That one thing you love to do, that brings out the best in you. Notice, that he didn’t use the words happiness or success, or euphoria or financial freedom. The wordBLISS resonates a certain contentment, a serenity.

As another calendar year comes to end, ask yourself, “Am I living my bliss?”.

I don’t know what it is for you, but for me it’s teaching and speaking. I can get up on that stage and start talking about a topic, teaching it, reinforcing it and only realise much later how long I’ve spoken for. I lose all track of time. I am immersed in in a different world.

Find your bliss. Live your life in a way that means something to you, that is important to you, that gives YOU joy!

Don’t worry about the money for now. Don’t worry about having things! In many cases, the more things we acquire to make us happy, (and this happiness is usually short-lived),  the more we are not living our bliss.

Does it mean that you quit your career and you change everything? Of course not. Find the thing you love and do more of it. You’ll know what it is. It’s usually the thing you get so absorbed in and when you do it, you forget about everything else, time has no meaning.

Find your bliss and do more of it. Soon things will look and be different. Opportunities will appear where there were none before. Life will never be the same again!

I wish you all an amazing 2014. May you and your families have health, love, prosperity and bliss!
